Join Kari in making special projects to celebrate special occasions by counting down the days with beautiful quilted designs using Nancy Halvorsen’s “Count On It” Art to Heart book. These designs are perfect for making a quilted wall-hanging celebrating a child's age or birthday and includes quilt block designs for every month in the year plus banners, a birthday quilt, birthday garland and patterns for numbers and an alphabet. Books will be available for purchase at the shop and should be picked up ahead of time, they will be required for participation in the class. On April 22nd, we will be making the month of “May” appliqué block using YOUR OWN fabrics! Pick through your scraps or come grab a Fat Quarter stack for the projects.

This class requires a regular sewing machine, anyone can do it! It’s not hard, we promise. We will be using a blanket stitch and Heat N Bond Lite.

Bring with you to class:

-Count on It book

-Heat N Bond Lite

-Large and small scissors

-Sewing machine with blanket stitch and appropriate presser foot (this is a common stitch on most machines)

-Fabric scraps for project and thread to match

-Extra needles and everyday sewing notions, seem ripper, thread, bobbins etc.
